Thumbwind Expands into Gaming With D&D Cooperative

Dungeons and Dragons

Thumbwind Publications has begun a relationship with D&D Cooperative for Dungeons and Dragons online gaming service. The Online School helps teach new players of Dungeons & Dragons how to play the popular Role Playing Game. (RPG) Currently, D&D Cooperative has over 500 members and uses Virtual Table Top (VTT) technology.

The online service was founded last year by Carla Bumstead. Carla noted, “The best way to learn how to play D&D is to play D&D in a supportive teaching environment.” The same concept applies to Dungeon Master training programs. People learn how to DM by actually DMing a game in a supportive environment.

Thumbwind Publications will assist in IT support and online marketing for Frogwart’s, allowing the young company to concentrate on growing its online business.

First published in 1974, Dungeons and Dragons has long been part of popular culture, but its sales have been on a sharp upwards trajectory. CNBC reposted sales growth of 33% last year, with a total market approximating over $800 million.

About D&D Cooperative

At age 57, DDC founder, Carla Bumstead, had only a vague concept of what Dungeons & Dragons was. But when COVID-19 hit in the spring of 2020, she and her family thought learning to play might help keep them from going crazy. Fast forward a year, and their online play of Dungeons & Dragons has over 500 server members. They follow the premise that “the best way to learn how to play D&D is to actually play D&D, in a supportive teaching environment.” The same concept applies to their DM training programs. People learn how to DM by actually DMing a game in a supportive environment. Find out more at the D&D Cooperative.
