Delta flight attendant jobs

Delta marks a century of operations and seeks to expand its workforce, hiring flight attendants for its most extensive travel schedule yet.

Delta Air Lines Seeks to Hire Flight Attendants for Centennial Year

As Delta Air Lines enters its 100th year of operations in 2025, the company is preparing for its most ambitious travel schedule in history by opening applications for flight attendants. Both English-speaking and bilingual candidates are being recruited to join the team that supports Delta’s extensive global operations spanning 290 destinations worldwide.

Rachel McCarthy, Delta’s Vice President of In-Flight Service Operations and Customer Experience, highlighted the significance of 2025 for the airline: “Not only will Delta celebrate 100 years as a brand, but we will also fly our most robust travel schedule ever. We’re excited to hire even more flight attendants to meet this demand and bring our premium experience to life for every customer.”

Bilingual Applicants Sought for Global Operations

To meet the needs of its international network, Delta is actively seeking language of destination (LOD) candidates fluent in English and one of the following languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, Greek, German, Italian, Korean, or Swedish.

Applicants fluent in these languages can indicate their interest in an LOD position during the application process. This role plays a critical part in serving Delta’s diverse passenger base by ensuring clear communication and cultural sensitivity on international flights.

Requirements for Flight Attendant Applicants

To qualify, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be at least 21 years old at the time of application.
  • Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Speak, read, and write fluent English.
  • Have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Be flexible and willing to work varied hours, including international and domestic routes.

Applicants with prior disqualification must wait 90 days before reapplying for a new job posting. More details about the role and application process can be found at delta.com/flightattendant.

A Commitment to Safety, Service, and Inclusion

Delta flight attendants are responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers on the airline’s approximately 5,000 daily flights. Beyond safety, Delta emphasizes delivering a premium customer experience, a hallmark of the airline’s service philosophy.

Delta prides itself on being an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer, providing accommodations during the application and selection process to qualified individuals. Accommodations related to medical or religious needs are available, provided documentation is submitted as required.

Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence

Delta’s centennial year represents a significant milestone in the aviation industry, with the airline maintaining its status as a global leader. From its beginnings as a regional carrier in 1925 to its current position as one of the largest airlines in the world, Delta has continually evolved to meet the demands of modern travel.

With its 2025 hiring initiative, Delta is not only looking to strengthen its workforce but also to uphold its legacy of innovation, safety, and exceptional service. The upcoming hiring wave provides a unique opportunity for candidates passionate about hospitality and travel to join the airline during a historic year.
