Things to Do In Charleston, South Carolina
Charleston is a city that’s filled with rich history and culture. It’s also filled with many people who love to eat, drink, and have a good time!
Charleston is a City of Architecture
The beautiful architecture is the first thing you’ll notice when you arrive in Charleston. There are a lot of historic buildings throughout the city, which have been preserved by the city government and private citizens alike. You can see these buildings all over Charleston—particularly downtown and along King Street. With more than 300 years of history, King Street is the second most historically and architecturally significant street in downtown Charleston.
There are also many parks in Charleston that offer great views of the city and plenty of space for recreational activities like biking or jogging along tree-lined paths. One of my favorite parks is Riverfront Park because it offers views straight across the Cooper River, where you can see historic Fort Sumter right next door!

Charleston, South Carolina, is a city with a rich history. It’s one of the oldest cities in America. The city was founded in 1670 and has been inhabited by various cultures. It’s home to almost 300 years of architecture that reflects those cultures, including French, Spanish, and English styles.
One of the best things about visiting Charleston is seeing all the different historical sites around town. Several museums focus on different aspects of Charleston’s history, including its maritime past and role as one of America’s most important ports during colonial times.
